Here are some tips for photographing animals:
-
take photos outside or somewhere with good indoor lighting (ideally with diffused daylight falling from the side of the window);

do not use flash to avoid strong color distortion of the animal in the photo;
-
photograph your pet from their eye level to avoid perspective distortion. You can squat down to take pictures of them, or put them on the sofa or on the table/chair;
-
since animals are often quite active, you may need help of a second person in order to distract the pet and hold it in a certain position for a little longer;
-
and of course, take or choose photos where your pet will look like you love it most.
